Hard
as it may be to believe, Christmas has come and gone again for
another year. Now people across the UK are looking forward to 2013,
and making resolutions for the new
year. According to the Metro
newspaper, the top 10 resolutions for 2013 are:
- Travel
- Get Fit
- Treat Yourself
- Quit Smoking
- Sober Up
- Lose Weight
- Do Something Nice
- Get a New Job
- Save Money
- Expand Your Mind
As you
can see, the traditional resolutions of losing weight and getting fit
remain prevalent, not surprising given the recent London Olympics.
The two resolutions are linked, but saying that you’re going to get
fit and lose weight is one thing, doing it is another. Many people
who want to accomplish these two things often struggle with demanding
gym routines that they simply don’t have the time or the money to
do, as well as the on-going demands of work and family life that
means they don’t have the time to dedicate to themselves.
However,
getting fit and losing weight is easier than you think. There are
plenty of great healthy foods you can eat, easy substitutions to your
diet, to make this possible. The discipline it takes to make these
choices is far less than it takes to motivate yourself to get the gym
– a great first step on the road to a new you in the New Year!
